Looking Back

Covid 19 Poem

We heard on the news a sickness had unfurled,

Corona Virus 19 had hit the world.

We went into Lockdown because people were dying,

No travel, no footy and definitely no flying!

Two meters apart as we queued for the shops,

And on our way home we got stopped by the cops,

They told us to stay in our neck of the woods,

And to keep washing our hands with plenty of suds,

Myself I was scared and started to panic,

But I calmed myself down I didn’t want to be manic,

The doctors and nurses were working so hard,

But this deadly virus just had to bombard,

We had to do our schooling in our own house, trying to be quiet and using our mouse,

We do not know when this will end, its driving us all around the bend,

No beach or football or KFC, I want to get back to normality!
