Looking Back

Sharon’s Story- When the World Broke

Time to stand up

be counted

Do your bit for humanity

Speak to your friends by text,

Keep your children in & safe.

BUT STAY 2 METERS AWAY!

Lock the doors & hide the key

This isn’t for ever ,just for a while.

Write a journal, or Tik Tok through the day!

BUT STAY 2 METERS AWAY

Hard when you’re alone

To stop your thoughts

digging  into your soul .

Watch a film.

Speak to a friend,

start a hobby or two,

No one can visit,

Yet you go for a walk .

BUT STAY 2 METERS AWAY!

Our lives will be different

We’ll appreciate more

Realise what life’s about

Reconnect with your  family,

Play hopscotch , bake cakes.

Reinvent life.

BUT STAY 2 METRES AWAY

You’ve a story to tell

when you’re old & grey

Sitting in your rocking chair,

‘I remember’ , you will say

as people gather to hear your story

‘When the world broke’

Have a story to share?

Everyone has something to say about their experiences of the pandemic and the sort of world they want to live in when it’s over. Help build Knowsley’s story of Covid and the future. No matter how big or small you think it is, we want to hear from you!

Don’t worry about spelling or grammar- your story can be in any form: a poem, drawing, video, audio clip, or narrative. We want to hear from you in your own words.
